Our founders are two friends who traveled all over the world and everywhere they went, they had to try the gelato. It was just one of those things that they cared about. And back in California, despite its international reputation for fine cuisine, they just couldn’t find gelato they were proud of. So they decided to do something about it.

They decided to make it themselves.

They met with and learned from master gelato artisans from Italy. They visited local dairies, farms and chocolate makers. They took university courses in Italian and American ice cream. And, after trying everything and cultivating their own personal recipes, they found that there are only two simple components to an outstanding gelato: pure, natural ingredients and small, artisanal batches.

Our gelato is made by hand in small batches so it can always be enjoyed fresh. Only choice natural ingredients are used to ensure it is the finest-tasting gelato you will find in California, or anywhere else.
